WINDmeter & WEATHERmeter Connection Troubleshooting Follow
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on for your device.
Do not manually pair the WEATHERmeter with your phone. Just start the app, turn on the meter, and it should connect to your mobile device automatically. If you have manually paired the device, unpair or forget the Bluetooth device. To unpair a Bluetooth accessory on iOS or Android, go to Settings > Bluetooth, find the device you want to unpair, and tap the More Info button, then Forget this Device.
For Android devices: Enabling location services is necessary to scan for Bluetooth LE devices.
For iOS devices running new iOS 13: Be sure to accept the new Bluetooth permission for the pairing process to succeed.
The Wind & Weather Meter app or another supported application must be installed on your mobile device. See how to install the Wind & Weather meter app.
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on or toggle Bluetooth off and back on.
- If you previously paired the meter in your smartphone's Bluetooth settings, you will need to unpair or forget the meter from your mobile device.
- Make sure all app permissions are allowed: in your phone settings locate your apps > locate the Wind & Weather Meter app > permissions > make sure Bluetooth is allowed.
- Verify the WEATHERmeter is connected. The main screen of the app should be showing a green "Start" button.
If instead of green "Start" button there is a gray "Not Connected" on the screen, then push the on/off button once. The LED light on the WEATHERmeter might blink a few times before it connects. If a single press doesn't help, try powering off the meter and close the app. Hold down the on/off button on the WEATHERmeter until it flashes and powers off. Close the app completely, exiting out of the background. Reopen the app and press the on/off button on the meter to turn it back on. The meter should connect indicated by the app showing a green "Start" button.
